The custom of cooking gyūtan originated in Sendai in 1948, and is  usually served with barley rice, tail soup, and pickles in the Sendai  area. In other areas in Japan, gyūtan is most often served in yakiniku  restaurants.

   Rice noodle rolls AKA cheong fun, are a favorite at Dim sum. These are wide rice noodles that are steamed and then rolled. They are often filled with different types of meats or vegetables inside but can be served without any filling. Rice noodle rolls are fried after they are steamed and then sprinkled with sesame seeds. Popular fillings include beef, dough fritter, shrimp, and barbecued pork. In the end, these rice noodle rolls are often topped with a sweetened soy sauce.

  • Loma Saltado

    Lomo saltado is a Peruvian dish that has Asian influences consisting of strips of sirloin marinated in vinegar, soy sauce and spices. The meat is is stir fried with red onions, parsley and tomatoes. Traditionally, the stir fry is serverd over white rice with homemade french fries.
